The project ‘Please touch’ (‘Por favor tocar’) is inspired by the experiences of people with visual disabilities in cultural contexts, such as museums or houses of culture, in which the experience is understood, in most cases, through sight. It consists of figures printed in 3D through digital mechanisms, based on sculptures or heritage objects. This, with the purpose that people with visual disabilities can appreciate and recognize them through touch. These can be accompanied by Braille reviews and complementary information through audio. Likewise, the project admits the possibility that each museum or cultural house can have its own scanning center, which would not imply high prices. The figures can be uploaded for others to download, print and use for their own purposes.
